I visited several doctors who dimissed the hairloss as stress but when my whole scalp was practically showing, the doctor referred me to a dermatologist who said that I have androgenic alopecia. I have an underactive thyroid and my iron storage is extremely low. I have recently tried minoxidil which has not grown any new hair but hair on my face has appeared. I live in South Africa and I am extremely desperate for help. I was constantly ridiculed at work so I took a long leave and shaved my head and now I am wearing a wig. My colleagues think that my hair grew back during my leave. I don't know what to do coz I have wasted so much of my money on other treatments and consultations that did not do me any good.
