I have been lossing hair a lot past 3 yrs , now it has become so bad and the thining is visible. It's like I am nearing blad. I have been under lot of stress past few years. I have burning sensation most of the time on my scalp. Few months ago i thought may be I have female pattern bladness. The more I think I feel that loss of hair and reduced regrowth of hair could be because of continous stress for long period. I am 37 yrs and my blood work came out normal.
I am now worried about lossing hair complete and becoming blad. Please let me know if there is any way , to stop further hair loss and promote regrowth.

I am aged 44 years and a female and have never worked in my first marriage. My first husband died of cancer after
I had 2 children. 6 months later I got remarried and migrated to Australia and gave birth to 2 more boys. At present I am working as a assistant nurse for the last 4 years in an aged care home. I suffer from a very great hair loss after a shower and when I comb my hair. I have tried a lot of hair products but nothing has worked. My husband suggests that it is stress and I am not satisfied with my life and I worry a lot.
Please advise what is my hair problem?

Dear Tina
Your should have suggested that you should have a routine blood test intially in order to rule out the obvious such as anaemia; thyriod and hormonal behaviour. These are some of the main causes of thinning hair in younger women. At the same time you could book in and see one of out Westminster trichologists who will be able to assist in a more direct fashion. In other words, we will be able to provide you with the answers to your questions at your initial consultation. Then you will be able to make an informed judgement as to what action is neccessary.
Please feel free to write back if you should have any further questions.
